Spiritual
Maturity Class: Our class on
"Intimacy with God" meets in the Youth Center at 11:30 a.m.

the Book of Mark this week.
Family
Life: We are continuing our

Women's Group: We meet on the second and fourth Saturday of

We are studying "Healing of Damaged Emotions" by David Seamands.

Children
Christmas Musical: The children will perform a special musical called "Away in a Manger" on
Dec. 17, and we will have a BBQ on that Sunday afternoon. Invite your unchurched friends to this
event. If you want to help out with

Christmas
Service: This year each small group will prepare a special presentation to "Magnify
His Name" on Dec. 24 at 9:30 a.m. in Chapel 2. We will highlight different names of Jesus
this month. This is a great time to
reach out to your friends and family members.
YOUTH
Sunday Service:
The Second Advent message will be
delivered at Youth service TODAY. Pastor Ben will be speaking for the 3rd and
4th Advent messages. Let''s prepare our hearts.
Sunday school: Our last Sunday school class for this year is TODAY. There will be a
Christmas party in each classroom. Don''t miss out!
Friday Night Fellowship: The last small group lesson will be on 12/15 right after the Children Ministry''s Christmas performance in the
Main Sanctuary.
BBQ luncheon: Join our special BBQ luncheon to appreciate everyone involved with the
CM Christmas program on Sunday, 12/17 at 11.30 a.m. in Youth Center.
Youth ministry Christmas celebration: Invite your friends to attend our Christmas celebration on, Friday,
12/22 at 8 p.m. Potluck dinner will be served.
Brian Fang will do a white elephant game after the Christmas message.
Christmas cookies to neighbors: Let''s share the joy of Christmas with the neighbors around our church by
passing out Christmas cookies at 1:15 p.m. TODAY. We will meet at Youth Center for the orientation.

Special Thanksgiving Offering (11/26-12/31, 2017): Each year,
apart from regular tithing and giving, our church will collect a special
Thanksgiving Offering to support urgent needs in the global mission field.
This year, 50% of the donation will be given to Northern Iraq Refugee
Relief and the other 50% will support JiAmerica Community Center (JCC)
in Da-Jia, a community center in Taichung, Taiwan. Please mark "2017 Special Thanksgiving Offering"
on the memo of your donation check or on the offering envelope. We
have collected $4,587.80 so far. Please give generously to relieve the suffering
in the world!
Neighborhood Christmas Gifts: We want
to invite you to participate in passing out Christmas gifts to our neighbors on
Dec. 10, Sunday, 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. Please
remember that statistics show people are open to the message of Christ during the
holiday season, and one out of four people will attend Christmas service if you
invite them. Let's spread the light and
love of Christ to our community during the holiday. Come and reach out to our neighbors this
season.

2017 FECA Delegates Convention
Many thanks to the delegates who attended the
FECA Delegates Convention last Sunday, and special thanks to the FEC-SGV's
co-workers for their help. The delegates
approved the meeting minutes of the 2016 Delegates Convention and 2018 budget
(general operation) of $698,452.50. New Governing Board members were also
elected: one pastoral member — Rev. Ben Pun (FEC-DB) as well as one lay member
— David Chang (FECC).
Assistant Pastor Needed for the Chinese Church
of St. Petersburg
The Chinese Church of
St. Petersburg is looking for an assistant pastor to shepherd its congregation.
Applicants should have the following:
Strong burden for campus ministry. Solid Mainland Chinese background preferred. M.A. or M.Div. degree from an overseas
theological seminary. Good physical and mental health (adaptable to
life and ministry in Russia). Willing to serve in St. Petersburg for at
least 9 months each year. Willing to commit to the ministry for 3 to 5
