Worship

Foundation: This class will teach you how to study the Bible, how to pray and
discover God's will, how to be filled with the Spirit, and how to share your
faith. The class is led by Colin and his team in Grace Hall at 11:30 a.m.

Friday Night Young Adult Group: We are studying the Gospel of Mark this

Chapel 2 Cleaning: The women's group is planning a cleaning day

Saturday Prayer Meeting: Join us as we seek God's will and exercise our

YOUTH
Sunday Service: Pastor Ben will continue the sermon series TODAY. We plan to have a
communion Sunday service in Chapel 2 on 8/26.
Sunday School: Pastor Ben will continue the lesson
on the ''Real Thing'' during Sunday school from 11:30-12:30 p.m. in Youth Center.
Baptism Class: Baptism class will begin on Sunday, 9/2 from 1-2 p.m. in Youth Center. Talk to pastor Ben
after the service if you plan to join in.
Friday Night
Fellowship Inviting all junior high and high schoolers to join our annual sleepover
on 8/24 in Youth Center and Chapel 3.
Please bring your sleeping bag and personal toiletries. Parents can pick up
their teens on Saturday, 8/25 at 12:30 p.m. after lunch in Youth Center. Don''t miss out!

Alpha Course (Cantonese): The
Cantonese Congregation will have their 9th Alpha Course on every
Friday night from 8/17 to 10/26 (except 9/14), 7:30pm-9:30pm in Chapel 3. Dinner will be served. Cantonese speaking seekers or new believers

Taiwan Short-term Missions (7/21-8/3) has been successfully completed!
Thank God for leading the Taiwan Short-Term Team to serve nearly 4,000 students
in 19 Junior High Schools and the Taichung Hui-Ming Blind School on the west
coast of Taiwan in the past 2 weeks. We had the opportunity to lead more than a
thousand students to accept Jesus. During the mission trip, not only were the
local students blessed, but also the lives of 290 team members were blessed. In
addition, we now have a closer connection with the local churches and the
shepherds. Apart from leading the pastors of the churches to visit the English
Character camps on campus, we also visited the various community caring centers
we established in the area. At the Taipei Lutheran Truth Church, we also met
with nearly 30 pastors from the United States and Taiwan to discuss the vision
of the Taiwan West Coast spiritual revival and the opportunity for partnership.
This year we have witnessed how God has amazingly opened many doors for us. He
seems to be launching a great wave of gospel movement on the west coast of
Taiwan. May God''s purpose be accomplished! Please pray. Pastoral
Annual Retreat: The
pastoral staff will have their annual retreat from Aug. 27-29 to pray and plan
for next year. Please pray for the inspiration of the Spirit to be upon their
planning. 2019
Elder and Deacon Nomination, Ministry Planning and Budgeting will begin on 9/2: Please pray for God's guidance and

Pray
for Rev. and Mrs. Zhao
Rev. and Mrs. Zhao had set off to China to
visit the returnees on last Sunday night. They experienced lots of love and
care from our brothers and sisters during their home assignment. Please
continue to pray for their physical health as the weather in the country is
very hot, and also pray for their ministry too. May God use them to support and
establish the faith of every returnee so they will shine for the Lord!
