Worship Service:  Pastor Ken will conclude Psalm 23 today, speaking on "Union with God." Shannon and the Hans will be sharing next Sunday.  We will begin a new series from the Book of Ruth on Sept. 9.

Christian Foundation: This class will end today.  The new class will start next Sunday, and Colin will be teaching from the Book of 1 John.

Mentoring Class: "The Mentoring Relationships You Need to Succeed in Life" is the title of this class and we will begin on Sept. 2.  You will learn the seven mentoring types, discover what is upward, peer and downward mentoring, and will have an opportunity to be a part of mentoring relationship.

Missions Conference; Oct 5-7:  Come and be inspired by Operation Mobilization missionaries, Martin and Petro de Lange, who planted churches among the Turkish people in France.

 YOUTH

Sunday Service:  Let's prepare our hearts to partake in Holy Communion in chapel 2 TODAY.  All youth will join Pastor Ben for Sunday dialogue in youth center after. Pastor Ben will begin the new sermon series on the book of Judges on 9/2.

Sunday School: All Sunday school classes resume TODAY.  Jr. High classes meet at E-9 with Pastor Ben. Freshman and sophomores meet at E-10 with Auntie Anni and Auntie Virg, while juniors and seniors meet at Pastor Ben's office upstairs with Dr. Glenn.

Baptism Class: Baptism class will begin on Sunday, 9/2 from 1-2 p.m. in Youth Center. Talk to Pastor Ben after the service if you plan to join in.

Friday Night Fellowship You are invited to join our last movie night this summer on 8/31 at 8 p.m. in Youth Center.  Invite your friends to come. Don't miss out!

Alpha Course (Cantonese):  The Cantonese Congregation will have their 9^th Alpha Course every Friday night from 8/17 to 10/26 (except 9/14), 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. in Chapel 3.  Dinner will be served.  Cantonese speaking seekers or new believers are warmly welcomed.  Please contact Pastor Tracia Wong.

Pastoral Annual Retreat: The pastoral staff will have their annual retreat from Aug. 27-29 to pray and plan for next year. Please pray for the inspiration of the Spirit to be upon their planning.

Pray for the St. Petersburg Short-Term Mission Team

Rev. Eric Lo, Pastor of FECC-Cerritos' Mandarin Congregation, will lead some choir members on a short-term mission trip to St. Petersburg from 9/25 ¡V 10/9, to support the welcoming ministry of the St. Petersburg Church. Currently the short-term team is actively preparing for it. The short-term team members are: Rev. Eric Lo, David Mou, Danna Mou, Stanley Kao, ShuShu Liu, Jun Li, Sue Chen, Eudora Chen, Timothy Lin, Grace Lin, Jonathan Mou (David & Danna's son). Please pray for the short-term team, asking God to grant them health, fruitful service, and a smooth journey!
