CONNECTIONS


2026 New Year Joint Service & Commissioning: A Joint New Year Sunday Service with leaders and congregants commissioning for Mandarin Congregation, Cantonese Congregation, Connections, Youth and HOA Campus will be held on 1/4 (Sun) at 10 AM in Main Sanctuary.  Theme: “DECLARE, DISPLAY, ACCELERATE, Let the Church Declare and Display Christ Together”.  Please stay for lunch after service to enjoy fellowship in Christ!  There will be no Sunday School.


2025 Special Thanksgiving Offering (11/23-12/31): Apart from regular tithing and giving, we collect a Special Thanksgiving Offering from Thanksgiving to year-end to support urgent needs in the global mission field. Donations will be given to support Habibi International’s N. Iraq Refugee Relief and to support Taiwan West Coast Mission ministries. Please write “2025 Special Thanksgiving Offering” in the memo line of your donation check or on the offering envelope.  The deductible tax receipt will be issued by the church.


2025 Donation Receipt Deadline: The deadline for 2025 donation receipts is as follows: 

  • Check Offering: Ends 1/11/2026 (Check issued date MUST be on or before: 12/31/2025). On your check memo, please specify "2025 offering". 

  • Cash Offering: Ends 1/11/2026.  Please mark "2025 offering" on the envelope.

  • Credit card and Online Offering: Ends 12/31/2025 at midnight Pacific Time.

  • By mail: Posted on or before 01/11/2026.


2025 Payment Requisition Form Deadline: 1/11/2026 will be the last day to submit any 2025 ministry expense reimbursement requests. Any requests after 1/11/2026 will be considered 2026 expenses.


SCRIP Gift Card: Please use the insert as the Scrip order form to place an order. You can visit the gift card booth (SCRIP) to purchase gift cards for yourself or give to the people you want to say "Thanks!".  A portion of the proceeds from these gift cards will support the Church Development Fund.

YOUTH

Sunday Service: 

Join our church combined New Year’s service in the main at 9:30 am TODAY! Pastor Ben will start a new sermon series on the ‘Beatitudes’ in Matthew 5:3-12 on Sunday, 01.11.26 at 10:00 am in the youth center.


Sunday school:

All Sunday school classes will resume on 01.11.26. Junior high will be with pastor Ben in the youth center.  Freshman and Sophomore with aunties Virg and Mel. Junior and Senior will be with Dr. Glenn in the conference room.


Friday Night Fellowship:

Our FNF will resume on 01.09.26 at 8:00 pm in the youth center. Junior high girls are with auntie Beatriz and Estrella.  Junior high boys are with Micah.  All high school students are with pastor Ben.


Sleepover and CHF

Inviting all youth members to join our annual sleepover on Friday, 01.16 right after FNF in the youth center.  Then, we will serve at the Children's Hunger Fund on Saturday, 01.17 at 9-11 am.

Baptism Class

Pastor Ben invites you to join the baptism class that starts on Sunday, 01.18 in the conference room at the youth center from 1-2 pm.

2026 New Year Combined Sunday Service & Commissioning: A combined New Year Sunday Service with leaders and congregants commissioning for Mandarin Congregation, Cantonese Congregation, Connections, Youth, Children and HOA Campus will be held today (1/4) at 10AM in Main Sanctuary.  Theme: “DECLARE, DISPLAY, ACCELERATE, Let the Church Declare and Display Christ Together”.  After service, lunch will be provided to celebrate New Year! Locations: Mandarin Congregation and HOA Campus (Cafeteria), Cantonese Congregation (Chapel 3), Connections and Youth (Youth Center and Patio), Children (E3 & E4).

Joint Board and Pastoral Team Vision Sharing: Will be held next Sunday 1/11 afternoon in the Youth Center from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. Please pray.

  1. FECA New Staff Members 

Thank God! FECA has recently hired two part-time staff members to assist with administrative and accounting work.

  •  Administrative Assistant – Sister Amy Tsui

Amy has many years of experience in administrative management. She is passionate about her work and has a deep love for the church.

  •  Accountant – Brother Mark Shimaura

Mark has served as the accountant at Evergreen Baptist Church of Los Angeles for four years and is well-versed in all church accounting matters. He is sincere, warm-hearted, and actively involved in music ministry.

We warmly welcome both new staff members as they join the FECA’s ministry.

  1. FECA Lead Pastor Rev. Albert Wong and Family on Vacation

FECA Lead Pastor Rev. Albert Wong, his wife, and their son Ivan will be traveling to Hong Kong to visit family from January 12–22, 2026. Please keep them in your prayers.
