Worship Service:  Pastor Ken will continue a new series from the gospel of John today.  The message title for today is "Dare to Believe" from John 1:12.

Discipleship Conference: Pastors Edmund and Ann Chan, the founders of Intentional Disciple Making Churches (IDMC) Global Alliance movement, will be speaking at our church from March 8-10.  The theme is "Excited and Rooted in God's Word."  Early bird is $30 after February 10 it will be $40.  Sign up with Paul; Paul.c.chang@gmail.com

Abiding and Advancing the Kingdom of God Class:  We will begin this class today at 11:30 a.m. in E-7.  We will be using "The Upside Down Kingdom" by Donald A. Kraybill.

Creating Vibrant Communities: The word "vibrant" means full of life, full of Spirit, energetic, and dynamic.  Seven ingredients of vibrant community:  1) Accountability, 2) Empowerment, 3) Multiplication, 4) Sharing, 5) Salvation, 6) Truth, and 7) Transformation.  It is our dream that all of us will grow in these areas in our lives through a vibrant community this year.

YOUTH

Sunday Service: Pastor Ben begins the new sermon series based on the gospel of Mark TODAY.  Let's learn together from Jesus' example to serve others. We will have our combined and communion service in chapel 2 on 1/27.  Get together in youth center after the communion for a special sharing time with Will Ministry team. Don't miss out!

Sunday School: All Sunday classes meet at 11:30 a.m. TODAY.  Junior High students will be with Pastor Ben in E9.  Freshmen and sophomores will be serving with CM Sunday school small groups. Juniors and seniors will be with Dr. Glenn in the youth center.

Friday Night Fellowship: Small group hangout time! Let's go bowling at Golden Mile 1400 East Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91801 on 1/25 at 8:00 p.m. Bring $10 for a game and shoe rental.  

Turn Your Campus 2019: A one-day training for all junior high and high school students to be a great witness at school with 40 workshops offered. It will take place at Biola University on Saturday, 2/2 from 9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. Cost is $20/person and includes notes and lunch. Sign up with Pastor Ben TODAY!

Baptism Class: Pastor Ben will offer a baptism class beginning on Sunday, 2/3 from 1-2 p.m. at the back room in youth center. Talk to your parents and pray about it before joining the baptism class.

Baptism Sunday:  Praise the Lord, 6 brothers and sisters (5 from the Mandarin Congregation and 1 from the Cantonese Congregation) will receive baptism today!  May God protect and richly bless them!

2018 Special Thanksgiving Offering: A huge thank you to all the brothers and sisters who contributed to our 2018 year end Special Thanksgiving Offering. We received a total of $24,677.92.  Twenty-five percent of the donation will be given to N. Iraq Refugee Relief and the other 75% will support Taiwan West Coast Mission ministries.  Please continue to pray for the work of God's Kingdom and actively participate in glorifying the Lord's name in all the earth.

Taiwan Shuilin Church (YunLin County) Offering: A special offering was collected in December for church planting efforts in ShuiLin, located in the YunLin county of Taiwan.  We received a total of $9,406.00, and the funds will be wired out directly to the church. Thanks to all the brothers and sisters who contributed.

Scrip Gift Cards & Church Meal Cards: Both scrip gift cards and church meal cards can be purchased at the courtyard/cafeteria scrip booths. Gift cards are available from a variety of places including supermarkets, retail stores, restaurants, gas stations, and more. Church meal cards are $30 for 10 meals. If you opt for a ¡¥green' meal card you will receive an additional two meals free for bringing your own reusable utensils and Tupperware.

2019 Encountering God program
A 3-month program for those who desire a new daily experience in encountering God. The program covers daily prayer of examen, scripture meditation for eight weeks and five group meetings with teaching, sharing, and spiritual direction.
