AGAPE CARING CENTER
Against Marijuana Cultivation Facilities in
El Monte: A few weeks ago, the City of El Monte
approved the marijuana cultivation production and trade in their city. The
ordinance will be effective on Feb 7. As a result, a huge marijuana facility
will be opened, located close to the Home Depot on Lower Azusa Road. A
nonpolitical coalition, by the name"Greater Los Angeles Communities Alliance" (大洛杉磯社區聯盟) was formed
trying to prevent this from happening. Their plan is to collect 10% of the El
Monte registered voters' petition signatures by Feb 6 (~ 4,000) to repeal this
decision. CCHC (Chinese Christian Herald
Crusades) and our church support this effort.
Today, volunteers from "Greater Los Angeles Communities Alliance" will
set up a booth in our courtyard to collect signatures from those who are
willing and eligible. Please support this social action and earnestly pray!
