CONNECTIONS
Worship
Service: Pastor Ken will speak from Psalm 23:4 and the title
of the message is "Navigating through your valley." And we will commission and bless the Taiwan
team in our service.
Christian
Foundation: This class will teach you how to study the Bible, how to pray and
discover God's will, how to be filled with the Spirit, and how to share your
faith. The class is led by Colin and his team in Grace Hall at 11:30 a.m.
College Class: Meet in the Walnut Grove
house at 11:30 a.m.
Friday Night Young Adult Group: We are studying the Gospel of Mark this Friday
at 8 p.m. at church in E-9. Contact

Life: We are continuing our

YOUTH
Sunday Service: Pastor Ben will continue the sermon series on Daniel TODAY and 7/22. Let''s prepare our hearts to receive His Word. Pastor Kenny
Wong will speak at our youth service on 7/29.
Sunday School: There will be no Sunday school until July 15. All of our Sunday school
gathering is going to be in the youth center at 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Friday Night Fellowship: Join our Big group meeting on 7/20 at 8:00 p.m. Youth Center. We plan to have our big group hangout for laser tag
on 7/27.

CHURCH
Baptism Sunday: Praise the Lord, 6 brothers and sisters (2
from the Mandarin Congregation and 4 from the Cantonese Congregation) will
receive baptism today! May God protect
and richly bless them!
Elder
Board Meeting: The Elder Board meeting will be
held on 7/17 (Tue.) 7:30 p.m. at Grace
Hall. Please pray.
2018
Short Term Missions: Pray for the
following teams:
Taiwan West Coast (7/21-8/3), serving 19 Junior
High Schools, about 4,000 students Operation Dawn (San Jose, 7/20-22, 8/10-12) Myanmar (7/21-31) Taiwan Hakka (8/23-31) VBS: Praise God, 172 students had attended
our VBS held last week, of which 70 students came from our Chinese School/After
School Program, 18 students from HOA.
Three parenting workshops (in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English) were
held on 7/13 (Fri) night. Thank God for
blessing our VBS, with many students received Christ and many parents got
blessed! Our heartfelt thanks to our
Children Ministry Director and the whole serving team for their faithful
service! Glory be to God!
Senior Pastor''s Itinerary:
Pastor Joshua will be leading the Taiwan Short-Term Mission Team from
7/19-8/3, then take vacation leave from 8/4-15.
During his absence, Pastor Ken will cover him for ministry at church. Please pray!
Meal Card: We
gave out 40 gifts for the meal card raffle drawing, and we will hold our next
drawing at the end of the year. Please drop off your used meal cards to the lunch
collection box. Meal cards can be purchased from the court yard scrip
booth. We encourage all to purchase green meal cards (buy 10 and get 2
free with self-prepared containers and utensils).

Exercises in Daily Life (September 2018 to June 2019)
Spiritual Exercises include daily one hour spiritual exercises; weekly
one-hour individual spiritual direction; monthly group meeting, 10 Saturday
meetings from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. Registration contact: sherry.chang@feca.org

Application for Financial Aid to Seminarians
This program was established to provide
financial assistance to FECA church members, on the basis of real financial
need, as they received basic theological training to become Christian ministers
or missionaries. The Financial Aid to Seminarians Policy and Procedure,
and application form may be downloaded from FECA website (www.feca.org, click "Document
Download" at upper right corner for list of documents). New
applicants should read through the Policy and Procedure before filling out the
application form. Application deadlines for Winter/Spring Admission:
9/15.
