Worship Service:   Pastor Ken will continue a new sermon series on "Generous Giving" today, from 1 Chron. 29.  Let's become a blessing to the people around us and to the nations through our giving.

Spiritual Maturity Class:  Karen will be teaching this class in Grace Hall today from Bill Bright's book, "A Handbook for Christian Maturity." Meet in Grace Hall, 11:30 a.m.

YOUTH

Sunday Service:  Pastor Ben continues the sermon series on the gospel of Mark TODAY.  We will have a combined and communion service in Chapel 2 on Sunday, 08.25.19.  A Sunday dialogue in youth center will be after the communion. 

Sunday school/ Ministry Team Training:   The ministry team training will be conducted on Sunday, 08.18.19 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in youth center.  All ministry team leaders are ready to train you to serve the Lord.   Lunch is provided. 

Friday Night Fellowship: We plan to go to Ultra Zone Laser Tag on Friday, 08.23.19. Please bring $10 for the game. We leave church by 8:00 p.m. Invite your friends to come!

YM Annual Parents Meeting:  Inviting all youth ministry parents to come and join our annual meeting on Sunday, 08.25.19 at 1:00 P.M. in Youth Center. All Sunday school teachers and small group leaders are going to be introduced to all parents.

Work & Worship:  A special event for all FECA Youth Ministry from Glendale, Arcadia, Cerritos, Diamond Bar, and HOA will meet in our youth center on Friday, 09.13 at 7:00 p.m. with FREE Tacos. Peter Lee from Korean Campus Crusade will lead us in praise, and Pastor Andrew Min from New Song Church will share God's Word.  We will have a sleepover after. On Saturday, 09.14 from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m., we will work at Children's Hunger Fund. Lunch will be served at church upon our return.  All FECA Worship team members will have a special retreat/training from 1-5 p.m. in youth center led by Ivan Wong, worship leader from Anchor Community Church in Diamond Bar and Sam Ly, worship leader from New Song Church in Santa Ana and their praise band.

ALL CHURCH

Deacon Board/Admin Reminders:  1. We recommend that all fellowship groups at church toss the trash bags into the big trash bin at the corner of south parking lot.  Please stop tossing the trash bags to the courtyard trash bin.  This is to reduce the admin work load, and make our church more eco-friendly.    

2. During Summer, please be sure to turn off AC (fan on auto always), after each meeting.  Thank you for going an extra mile to take of our church.

3. From now on church office will only recycle the batteries internally.  If you need to recycle batteries, please check with your city or county libraries for free services. 

Fundraising for Home of Glorious Grace, Myanmar:  The Home of Glorious Grace is located in Maymyo, northern part of Myanmar. In 2019, the Home of Glorious Grace houses more than 125 children and students from 3 to 19 years old. They are either orphans or from single parent or poor families, kids from minority group, or from war-torn areas. They eagerly need love and care.  Due to the increasing number of students, the existing buildings are insufficient. The facilities are aging and in need of renovation.  The school is planning a renovation project to construct a two story building; the total cost for the project is $150,000. Right now they are about $80,000 short in funding.  If you would like to make a donation, please write a check payable to: FECSGV, memo: Home of Glorious Grace in Myanmar.

AGAPE CARING CENTER

Annual Blood Drive: This year is scheduled on Sunday, September 8.  If you are over age 17, weigh at least 110lbs., and have lived in U.S. for at least 3 years, no new tattoos in the last 12 months, no blood transfusion in the last 3 years, you can be a blessing to someone in need of blood.  For any questions on your eligibility or to sign up, please contact Karen Duh (karenduh@gmail.com), so she can pre-screen you.

Pre-Departure Training for The St. Petersburg STM Team

The STM team to St. Petersburg in September will hold its sixth pre-departure training on 8/20. Please pray for the pre-departure training and the preparation of the short-term team.  Ask God to bless each team member to love each other and to be united as soldiers of Christ leading more young people to God.

The AMC Meeting

The meeting will be held on 8/24 (Saturday) in the morning at the FECA office; all 2019 AMC members please attending accordingly. Please pray for God's presence in the meeting.
