Abiding and Advancing the Kingdom of God Class:  We will meet today at 11:30 a.m. in E-7.  We will be using "The Upside Down Kingdom" by Donald A. Kraybill.

Summer Retreat:  "Creating Vibrant Communities" is our theme for the retreat, June 28-30 at Pepperdine University and our speaker is Steve Gladen.  Steve is the pastor of small groups at Saddleback Church and oversees more than 3,500 adult small groups at his church.   He is the author of Leading Small Groups with PURPOSE, and Building Healthy Small Groups in Your Church.  You can sign up with Pauline today.

YOUTH

Sunday Service: Let's welcome Auntie Virg who will share her testimony TODAY.  Pastor Nick Melazzo from FEC Arcadia will speak on Sunday, 5/19 as part of FECA pulpit rotation.

Sunday School: There is no Sunday school TODAY. Enjoy your time with family to celebrate Mother's Day.

Friday Night Fellowship: We will be having our regular small group on 5/17 at 8:00 p.m. in youth center. Invite your friends to join us!

Brother's Appreciation: Get ready for a special event on 5/24 at 7:30 p.m. in youth center as all sisters will appreciate brothers this year. Please come!

Summer Retreat: Come and join our Summer Retreat on 6/28-30 in Pepperdine University.  Pastor Andrew Min will be our speaker.  An early registration costs $150/person. Sign up together with your family. Don't miss out!

Baptism class:  Pastor Ben will start teaching baptism class on Sunday, 5/19 from 1-2 p.m.  Talk to your parents and pray for it before joining in. The baptism itself will be conducted during retreat at Pepperdine University on 6/29 in Malibu beach.  Talk to pastor Ben for more details.

Happy Mothers' Day: In honor of our moms and all sisters for their sacrificial and abounding love, we have prepared a gift of appreciation today.  If your mom or our sister is absent today you may pick up a gift for her.

Deacon Board Meeting: The Deacon Board meeting will be held on 5/13 (Mon.) 7:30 p.m. at Grace Hall. Please pray for God's guidance.

Elder Board Meeting: The Elder Board will meet on 5/21 (Tue.) 7:30 p.m. at Grace Hall.  Please pray for God's wisdom and guidance!

2019 Anniversary Combined Service will be held on 6/2(Sun) at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Sanctuary.  Celebration luncheon will follow immediately after service.

Register for the Chinese School Summer Program Today. Time: 6/17-8/16, M.-F., 8:00 a.m. - 6:10 p.m.  We provide Mandarin, English and Math classes. There are also Arts, Science and many fun activities. We welcome children K-6^th to join us. Volunteers are needed! Taiwan Haka STM: Dates are 6/30-7/7. Looking for people with a heart for missions to work with 40 Hakka youth in Taiwan this summer.  Language is not an issue as long as you have a willing heart to serve! Cost: $250 [not including airfare] Register with Power Hsu (626) 890-0456, deadline is 5/19.

2019 Taiwan Short-Term Mission: Dates are 7/20 to 8/2.  This year, we will serve 21 Junior High schools and Hui Ming blind school.  We encourage you to participate in what the Lord is doing in Taiwan this summer.

We wish all mothers a happy and joyful Mother's Day.  We also thank the Lord for a mother's sacrificial love for her children. We pray that God would continue to use mothers to touch their children's lives.

Prayer for Muslims during Ramadan, May 6 - June 4, 2019

Ramadan is the month in the Islamic calendar when Muslims fast, pray, and are open for spiritual reflection. The 2019 30-Day Christian prayer guide for the Muslim World booklets have been delivered to pastors and missions leaders of FECA member churches. A simplified prayer calendar is inserted in this Sunday Bulletin.  It can also be downloaded from our website (www.feca.org) and Right Now Media (www.rightnowmedia.org/Training/Post/View/341792).  Please join these prayers and bring Muslims to Christ during Ramadan. FECA Governing Board Meeting

The FECA Governing Board will hold their third meeting of the year at 7:30 p.m. on 5/14 (Tuesday).  Please pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit and good team spirit.

Pulpit Rotation

Pastors of FECA member churches will be guest speakers at different member churches next Sunday (5/19).  Please pray that the Spirit will anoint their messages and they will have good fellowship with brothers and sisters.
